Maxar is hiring a Manager, Sales Weather to lead our team of highly experienced sales and customer success professionals. This role will focus on selling our WeatherDesk and ClimateDesk solutions, delivering client value within industries such as: banking, finance, energy, and agriculture, and responsible for coaching and leading team members. The incumbent of this role will be highly motivated, strategy focused, and have strong experience being a sales leader, value generator, and revenue driver. This position is very much a player-coach role – bring your talents and drive results. This is a Base + Commission role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Drive go-to-market activities for established and new offering
Direct sales activity and revenue delivery within the line of business
Define and refine strategy for sales and customer-focused activities
Drive and achieve 6-figure sales quotas
Coach sellers in all aspects of the sales process, including rigorous qualification of customer opportunities
Influence cross-functional teams to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for customers and Maxar
Articulate customer requirements to multiple Maxar stakeholders and leaders
Drive internal processes in collaboration with Finance, Legal, Ops, Product, and Engineering, including briefing General Managers, CFO, and CEO when required

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelors in Meteorology, Weather Science, or equivalent experience in industry
7-10 years of experience carrying a sales quota
3-5 years of experience leading sales teams

Deep customer knowledge and network
Self-motivated with good interpersonal and negotiating skills
Team player and demonstrated high level of integrity
Demonstrates creativity in developing winning solutions
Able to continuously motivate teams when faced with aggressive growth targets
Skilled in prioritizing to drive maximum revenue impact when faced with multiple, competing demands on time
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services, and methods
Excellent industry and market awareness
Experience with Salesforce.com
Strong excel and powerpoint skills
Able to manage a budget
Able to travel up to 20% of the time
Experience with Sandler Sales Methodology or similar

In support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all of our U.S. job postings. We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$92,000.00 - $194,000.00 annually.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
